my very long day

Yesterday CJ woke up the croup (again). I tried to just let it run its course like the doctors always tell me but he just sounded horrible. So i made an appointment and went to the doctors office. when we got there, the doctor said he definitely had croup but he has had steroids ( which is what they normally prescribe to open the airway) so much this year that it would be the 9th time this year if they gave him that again so in order to avoid all the terrible things that come along with steroids he just gave us some stronger cough medicine and said call if it got worse.  after his nap CJ woke sounding absolutely horrible. he was wee-zing really bad and i was terrified. scared, i went to the ER. Chris and my brother JJ gave him a blessing once we arrived, and I was definitely calmed a little. after waiting probably 2 hours in the ER waiting room, we got called back and it seemed like forever for someone to come. they gave CJ 1 breathing treatment and started an IV which wasn't fun AT ALL. they called the pediatrician and he still said he didn't want him to have steroids. the doctor ordered some x rays after that. by this time it was probable about 2 am( i got there at 8pm).  the doctor was about to release us when CJ started to weez really bad again and so he ordered the steroids and 1 more breathing treatment. that seemed to help a lot. so when finally got released at about 4 am and sheila and i were so exhausted ( as well as CJ but he was able to get some sleep).  this morning he sounds a little better but not totally better. I very grateful that is a little better and i know that heavenly father was with us last night. I am definitely going to talk to the dr.. about getting a breathing treatment machine at our house so we can possibly by pass the ER next time.

giving thanks

I know, I know i havent posted in a very long time but I have been quite busy latley. so we had a great thanksgiving we went over to chris' aunt mary's house as we do every year. this year mom and PaPa Joe went as well and it was nice to have some of my family there this time. I am so greatfull for all the things I have been Given. I think that at times I really forget to stop and take time out to think about everything that I have. I think that if we all took about 5 min a day and just remembered the things that we have, we would all be so much more happy. that is my favorite part of this season, everyone remembers how much we have to truly be greatful for. I am thankful for my family and my friends. I am greatefull for my husband. I know that he truly loves me! ( well he better after all we are stuck now forever lol) I am So Greatfull for CJ he has brought out the best in both me and chris and gave us the drive to strive harder for the temple. CJ has made chris and I who we are today. I am greatful to have a sister who has always been so close to me. I honestly can't remember the last time we fought. ..... i am not sure if we have ever fought....hmm anyway i am so greateful to her for the example she has set for me. I am thankfull for my brothers. they are always there for me when i need them, even if it is a blessing really late at night. I love my sister in laws , i swear i have the best ones out there. I am greatfull for my parents for teaching my the gospel and for always guiding me the right way, even if i veered off that path a bit. I am greatfull that i have a home to live in, food on the table, lights and water . and for this country. I am also greatfull for the men and women who defend this country as well as their husbands, wifes and children for letting them defend us. they give us the freedom that many take for granted. In general I have alot to be greatful for.

My boy the chocolate factory

so I went to get some candy from sam's on halloween day for the trick or treater's at my house. I opened the bag to grab myself an almond joy and sat it by CJ in the car ( boy that was stupid) anyways when we got home this is what i saw in the backseat. CJ asleep with chocolate every where.. it seems to me that he often eats chocolate randomly in the car........hmmmmmm

ALOT to update about!

Well as many of you know, our family was just recently sealed! I can't believe we finally did it! It was the most amazing weekend that we have ever had in our entire lives. I wish more people could have seen how pure and adorable CJ looked when he came into the sealing room! Chris and I both started balling like babies. I am so grateful that heavenly father has given us on earth the opportunity to be sealed to our family for all time and all eternity. Nothing has eased my wondering mind more! I am the closest to heavenly father than I have ever been in my entire life. Before I really could only feel the spirit this well when i was a youth conference or at a girl's camp testimony meeting. but now i have that same feeling everyday with me wherever i go! and I have to say that me and my husband LOVE the temple ..we have already planned to go back as soon as possible.!! We love the peace full feeling. especially in the celestial room! then stormy and Rockey and of course my Uncle Denny all came to see my temple marriage! and that was so amazing that they were able to come and see us. It really meant alot to us to know that our family supported us.
Life is Great Right Now!!! ^_^

CLOTH DIAPERS!

I recently got 2 really cute Halloween cloth diapers for CJ to start cloth diapering with him! they are so adorable! one came with Halloween leg warmers and a shirt it is so adorable! here are some pictures for you!

FYI to the moms that don't want to cloth diaper because they don't want to touch the poo... I just changed one and didn't hardly have to touch poo at all .. it just comes off when you wash it!!!!

We were in wal-mart today and CJ saw the little pumpkins and decided that he had to have one. Its almost getting Halloween time so I figured why not? he held it all the way though wal-mart and we all had a blast carving. (even though we are not professional carvers, as you can see) it was fun! it was a great family activity! CJ enjoyed most of all sticking his hand in the top to feel all the gooie stuff on the inside! fun fun! I encourage all to carve a pumkin this year!^_^

sickies

so I took CJ to the doctor today because he has been having diarreah for a couple of months now. since stormy and JJ had Hpilori I told the doctor to test him for it. Turns out he was positive for the bacteria infection. so the long road starts for everyone to get tested and treated!

a weight has been lifted!

thanks to Kira our 3rd bedroom AKA the dump zone of the house was thoroughly cleaned out and organized! its amazing how we have energy for other people's houses ^_^ thank you thank you thank you Kira! ^_^ we love you ! you are so generous! a weight has definately been lifted off of our shoulders .. that room was to terrible! thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!

CJ thinks that everything you give him to eat is going to be hott! he is so funny . he puts his face all the way up to the food and blows and blows. he tries so hard but he is only blowing his bangs out of his face instead of blowing on the food. hehehe.. little toddlers are so funny!

I watched Kira and Ben's little ones so that they could have date night yesterday and Joise was so adorable! she is such a sweet natured little thing. i put her in the swing like 10 min. after they left and she just swang all night, well untill she fell sleep! how cute is she!

This the most adorable cedar little playhouse at sams. CJ loves it! and so do i he looks so cute in it. the only problem is it is really expensive. what i am waiting for is for there only to one left and it go on sale! still it is so cute though.. we play on it every time we go to sams!

Chocolate boy!!

if any of you have seen the inside of my car anytime recently you know that my car was an absolute mess! i have all kinds of things in there .. and apparently chocolate that i didn't know about too! lol CJ found a piece of chocolate to eat as we were driving the other day. it was quite funny and a reminder that my car needed to be cleaned .... desperately.

so when i cleaned it out i found bugs and ... dun dun dun .. i was appalled to see dead magets in my car!!!! oh my word! so i bombed the car and shampooed it. it took three times of filling the water back up and each time it was black when i poured it out! my car was disgusting!! !!! I now am going to pledge that my car stay clean from now on!!!

its a wonderful life

So it is official. We are going to the temple October 10th and 11th of this year!! we are so excited! Stormy will be coming down for about a week, which makes it even better! I am so great full that we can be sealed for all time and eternity. it is so incredibly wonderful. i have never felt this close to the spirit in such a long time. the way i feel now is so different than even a month ago. I actually screen what goes on my TV in my house so that it doesn't kill the spirit. ( which i never understood until recently). I make sure that everyone in my house is using appropriate language and all that good stuff. I haven't felt like this in so long it is amazing. i forgot how good it feels to be this close to the spirit.

update

So I haven't posted in a long time. I have been pretty busy these past few days. this picture was taken the other day when I brought back out the swing that CJ hasn't seen in many months. He loved it. He fell asleep the first like 15 min he was in it. but then I realized (with the help of a lovely sister in law) that he was way too big for it. I looked and it said up to 25 pounds, CJ weighs 27, so yeah. But isn't it cute how he is sleeping in it!

this picture was taken in Sam's club where our family basically lives most of the time. CJ wanted to wear a hair net like daddy. he actually kept it on as long as he saw that daddy had his on!

CJ loves to sit in the driver's seat and pretend like he is driving! in this picture i actually had him in the back seat with all the doors closed so i could run inside for a split second and when i got back he was in the front seat driving the car .. (don't worry i took the keys with me!)
Also he has learned to climb this last week. he climbs on the coffee table, on the couch, on the side table by the couch, and anywhere else he can climb!

CJ opted to skip his morning nap this morning and play in his room. so by the time lunch rolled around he was tired he was able to finish 2 fish sticks and a handful of peas before he just fell asleep in the high chair still holding 2 fish sticks in his hand! he is so funny!

So I got home today and CJ have a very wet diaper and I decided that I would let him run around with out a diaper for a little while .. well I went to the computer room and for got that i was letting him run naked. so then he finds me and he smells so awful and there was all kind of stuff all over his shirt. so i immediately went to the living room to see what damaged he had done. the first thing that i noticed was that there was a strand of dark liquid on his chair and then i found it ... CJ had gone pee and poo and then played in it!! my lesson is well learned to say the least

CJ is growing up way too fast!!

CJ is growing so fast I just thought that I would share with you some of his latest trick with you!

CJ loves kidz kastle! Cj likes to ride the little staionary rides or whatever you call them. I love it too because it is one of the only places i can take him in public and let him run around where ever he wants to. and if you go on mondays they have 10 cent tokens! horray! we love it!!

the camera i got is a Kodak easy share, like my old one, but it is a 7.0 mp instead of a 3.1 mp. it takes much better pictures.. and i actually got it off of ebay.. i got the camera, a case , tripod, and a SD card for 79 bucks . that is great considering that the camera alone at walmart is 120 bucks!

update on things

CJ is walking!!! its sssooo great.. I have tried to put a video up on here but i am having issues with figuring it out! I think chris can figure it out though...

so Diana is leaving may 20th .. i am not going to have any friends left! they are all either at college or moved away. that kind of stinks.

I just want to day that taking a leap of faith exudes blessings. we paid tithing this month for the first time since we have been married ( i know that is horrible) but normally we wouldn't have the money to do that, but some how this month we had enough to pay it.. it is wonderful how those things work! i am so grateful.

I want to say that I love my family. they rock!

and Stormy needs to come home..... i miss her too much

Hooray

Exams are over!! Hooray for me! and I actually did good for once! I made a 100, a 83, and a 82! I made the 83 on my math exam! If any one knows me. they know that math and I just do not get along! so to do well in math is absolutely fabulous! I was so proud of myself.

I know that my success was only because #1 I really tried hard and #2 I received a blessing.
A couple of days before my exams I had a sinus infection. It was without a doubt the worst time to get sick. I tried to take medicine and get sleep to get well but it just wasn't working so I asked my Brother and HUSBAND! thats right I said my husband! to give me a blessing so that I would be able to get better and do well on my exams! the next day I woke up refreshed, not sick and was able to go to my math class and understand it that day. I know It is because of my faith that heavenly father could heal me and help me with my exams that I did well. I can't express enough gratitude for the priesthood. I also am relieved to finally have it in my home! I can feel a difference , even with in the very first day! I am just so so so so proud of Chris to be able to accomplish these things! It is so amazing! I love him! he's great!

MY DORK

so we got some cool stuff for the house today mostly from chris' aunt mary. we got a new book case, which we had to screw to the wall so that it would not fall over on CJ. we also got a new dresser drawer for CJ's room which was really good because his was really un sturdy and falling over almost (it was like 8 years old and cheap). and then we got a long table like the ones they use at church to put in the computer room so of course my hubby has to hook up all the computers at once. so we have 3 computers all in one room and hooked up. He is such a dork. but he is my dork! and i love him!

i think he is starting to look more like me now! Ben said that too yesterday! that makes me happy! either way though he is still adorable! hehe does anyone else feel like every time they clean its pointless? i have been feeling that way recently. i try and work so hard to keep my house clean and then the next day it looks like i haven't touched it at all! its nuts! i feel like my life is nothing but cleaning, doing laundry, and cooking with some school on the side! i need to find balance! anyone have any opinions on how i can more efficiently manage time so i don't slack on other things like my calling and school??

Relay For Life

i am forming a relay for life team! i think this will be fun! so anyone who is willing to donate or wants to join my team please let me know asap... i am actually really excited about this it was kind of spur of the moment. i am doing it in honor of the many people i know with cancer and the many people that i know who have had cancer.

no i am not dead i promise

hi everyone sorry it has been so long! i have just been relaxing a bit on spring break. well sort of. hehe CJ recently had another ear infection. the doctor says that six is the magic number and so for we are up to 4 so maybe we won't have to get tubes. i really don't like the idea of surgery for my 10 month old. but other than ear infections CJ is quite healthy he is 31 inches tall and 24 pounds heavy!

also i wanted to see if anyone could help me pick out a persuasive speech topic. i am having trouble picking one.... any suggestions??

so far Chris has gone 2 weeks with only a half of a cigarette! i am so proud of him! he is doing it without any other help. no nicotine patches, gum or anything! he is doing so well! it is amazing how he has changed over the last few months! i am so grateful and excited!

so the goal for April was actually for Chris to get the priesthood. then a few months later get sealed in the temple. which sounds a little better to me! honestly i don't care if it takes us another year or whatever as longs as we are constantly working towards that goal i am happy. but i am definitely excited all around lately!

its chris's birthday today. and poor thing was sick today! i felt so awful cause i had to isolate him in the bedroom so that CJ and i wouldn't catch it. we are hoping he feels better tomorrow and we can go out to eat or something. other than that everything is GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAT lol i love tony the tiger! jk

we went to the kids market and got CJ a little recliner! isn't it adorable! he will just sit in it and drink his bottle while watching some cartoons. kids market was great. we got an eddie bauer (i think that's how you spell it) car seat for 15 dollars! we also got mom a car seat for devon for 10 dollars! which was good because kira will be needing hers back soon! we got lots of clothes and things that we really needed. i think all in all we spent like 100 dollars. it may seem like a lot but we got a whole BUNCH of stuff. it was great! YAY for kids market!

I can't believe that CJ will be one in like two months! its so crazy! it feels like yesterday that he was still in my tummy! i am excited but also sad. i know he is still a baby but i feel like i am loosing my baby. none the less i am excited about his first birthday! i can't wait for him to eat his little cake! i think i am going to have an under the sea theme. i found realy cute ideas for that theme on parents.com . they also had another cute idea. a super hero party. all the little kids are supposed to dress up like super heroes heh. but i think he is a little small for that idea. but its still cute. if any one has ideas for his first birthday that would be great.

Hey everybody!

we got one too since every one else was! maybe this could be my alternative to myspace since we are no longer supposed to use it! I also wanted everyone to know our new goal as a family. our goal is that by april of this year to be married and sealed in the temple! chris is trying really really hard to quit smoking. he is doing pretty well so far. but if anyone has any suggestions to help that would be great. I think he acctually has to stop completely by begining of march. to have a month of no smoking. anyway i am so excited about this! I also have to find a temple dress. i want this to be just as special as my wedding day!
